The client

The Baba Balak Nath Ji cave temple at Deotsidh in Himachal Pradesh draws pilgrims from Himachal, Punjab, Haryana and beyond.

The challenge

Pilgrims plan their visit around the festivals and need practical information before they travel: when the melas fall, what the temple's customs are, and which facilities are available. Devotees who cannot travel, including those living abroad, also want to follow the temple's festivals and traditions.

What we built

A content-led website in English and Hindi, organised around what pilgrims ask: the temple's history and legends, the main festivals such as Chaitra Mela, Navratri and Shravan Mela, the daily arti, a photo gallery, blogs and guidance on visiting.

  • English and Hindi content for visitors from different regions.
  • Festival and arti information: dates and descriptions of the main melas and the daily arti.
  • Gallery and blogs: photographs of the temple and articles on its history and traditions.
  • Visitor guidance and contact: customs, worship days and facilities, with a contact page.

Technology and our role

Built on the Microsoft .NET stack. Our role: design, development, hosting and ongoing support.

The result

Pilgrims can plan a visit, and devotees far from Deotsidh can follow the temple's festivals and traditions online. We continue to support the site.
